Bio

Qiuchi Li received his B.E. from the department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, China in 2015. He was a visiting student in the information retrieval research group of Tianjin University, China in 2014. He was engaged as a research student in the department of Computing and Communications, Open University, UK in 2015-2016. Now he is a first-year PhD student in the University of Padova, as well as an early stage researcher (ESR) in the QUARTZ project.

His research interests include information retrieval, natural language processing, machine learning, and data analysis. His current aim is to develop a quantum-inspired theoretical framework and a set of computational methods for accessing and retrieving multi-modal data. In particular, he is focused on proposing approaches to extract, represent and merge features of multimodal data on a uniform abstract vector space, and building an interactive search framework of data with multimodal complex features.
